Project Description

This course is aimed at all qualified reflexologists who would like to expand their skill set and work with clients who have a cancer diagnosis.  You will be looking at a range of different scenarios and learn how to adapt your treatment for your clients depending on their symptoms.  You will also learn a short support reflexology routine that can be used safely with anyone with a cancer diagnosis whether they are in remission, going through a treatment regime or receiving any medical intervention.
About the Tutor
Julie Quinn trained as a reflexologist and has been a practitioner in complementary therapies for more than 25 years.  In 2001 she began her teaching career, working with the esteemed Renee Tanner, as Programme Manager at Morley College London she achieved Centre of Excellence for Reflexology and was a member of the Reflexology Forum which has been instrumental in achieving voluntary self-regulation for reflexology. Julie has worked at The Mulberry Centre, Cancer Support and Information Services for the past 5 years.
Additional Information
You will need to bring along a pillow and one large towel to the practical sessions, all other equipment and wax necessary for practical work will be provided, please ensure you wear suitable clothing to both give and receive treatments.  Whilst tea and coffee will be provided you will need to bring along your own lunch, or there is a Costa, Subway or canteen within a short distance.
Course Times
The course will start at 10.00am and finish at 5.00pm.  You will receive an email with joining instructions one week before the course date.
CPD Points
On successful completion of this course and case studies, you will receive a printed CPD certificate worth 12 points. This is available as an electronic PDF to store on your CPD pages online.

Entry Requirements

You will need to hold a recognized Level 3 diploma in reflexology, insurance to practice and professional association membership.  You also need to have completed the Online Oncology Module before attending the practical sessions.
