Project Description
This course is aimed at all qualified aromatherapists who would like to expand their skill set and work with clients who have a cancer diagnosis.
This two-day course will help you develop a therapeutic approach as required for aromatherapy interventions for clients who are affected by cancer. It will enable learners to blend and apply aromatherapy treatments for their clients who are experiencing the effects of cancer as well as for those receiving cancer treatments.
About the Tutor
Jo Grinbergs is a clinical aromatherapist and reflexologist. She is also a BTEC L6 advanced clinical massage and sports therapist. She is a full member of IFPA and registered with CNHC. Jo runs her own practice as well as working one day a week in a busy London clinic as part of a multi disciplined team. She has been a volunteer at a cancer support centre for over 10 years. She worked as a lead therapist in a cancer support centre for several years and with the palliative care team in the local hospital. Jo is a teacher of numerous complementary therapies to therapists and health care professionals.
Additional Information
You will need to bring along a couch cover, linens and a pillow to the practical sessions, all other equipment and wax necessary for practical work will be provided, please ensure you wear suitable clothing to both give and receive treatments. Whilst tea and coffee will be provided you will need to bring along your own lunch, or there is a Costa, Subway or canteen within a short distance.
Course Times
The course will start at 10.00am and finish at 5.00pm. You will receive an email with joining instructions one week before the course date.
CPD Points
On successful completion of this course and case studies, you will receive a printed CPD certificate worth 12 points. This is available as an electronic PDF to store on your CPD pages online.

Entry Requirements
You will need to hold a recognized Level 3 diploma in aromatherapy, insurance to practice and professional association membership. You also need to have completed the Online Oncology Module before attending the practical sessions.
