Wellbeing classes

The Mulberry Centre offers a range of Wellbeing Classes for its registered clients.  All the classes are free and offered to help you increase relaxation, often with gentle activity.  Regular participation can bring many benefits including calmness and relaxation and help to clear a busy mind.

Other benefits may include:

  • Help reduce stress and increase energy
  • Boost self-esteem and confidence
  • Release physical and mental tension
  • Improve flexibility, balance, co-ordination
  • Enhance wellbeing
  • Deepen sleep

We currently offer Wellbeing Classes for patients and carers.  Our classes are usually held in the large Mulberry Room or in the garden when the weather is warm and dry but they are also delivered remotely for times when you are not able to get to the Centre.

You will be guided through the class according to your ability and any equipment needed will be explained or provided.  You need to wear loose comfortable clothing.  Before attending the sessions you will be assessed for suitability by the class teacher so when onsite please arrive to your first session 15 minutes early and in good time for future classes to avoid disruption.  Onsite spaces are limited so advance booking is strongly advised.

To book your place or find out more, please call 020 8321 6300 or email: talk @themulberrycentre.co.uk

Our wellbeing classes include

Yoga

Yoga therapy is a type of therapy that uses yoga breathing exercises, meditation, guided imagery and postures to improve mental and physical health.  The focus of yoga therapy encourages the integration of mind, body and spirit. There are various forms of yoga here at The Mulberry Centre with different tutors using different focus and techniques.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a mind-body practice that involves a series of slow, flowing exercises that combine movement meditation and rhythmic breathing. Although it was initially developed as a martial art it is commonly practiced as a form of exercise that will improve health by reducing stress, improve posture, balance and mobility.

Guided Meditation

Meditation is an ancient and increasingly popular practice of mental concentration and relaxation. As the stress levels of society become higher we need to reduce our anxieties and bring about calmness. Under the expert guidance of our therapist begin to take control of your natural balance and feel calm and relaxed.
