Tree of Life Workshop for Carers
Caring for someone with cancer can be exhausting, both physically and mentally.
It can be difficult to find time for oneself to retreat and repair. This five-part workshop encourages community connection and is designed to be an uplifting experience that pulls together ideas of strength, resilience, and relationship. Participants are supported to share their stories in ways that empower them and foster a sense of hope for the future. These creative workshops will use an approach called Tree of Life to structure the sessions.
Tree of Life is something that has been used in various healthcare settings across the world to help people who have been through something traumatic to articulate their story and remind themselves of their strengths and by so doing, empower them.
Art materials will be available every week with clients encouraged to used them to tell their story. Absolutely no artistic prowess is required to benefit from the sessions.
This five-part workshop will run on Tuesdays 10.30-11.30am (December 5, 12 & 19, January 9 & 16)
