“Strength training helps you maintain and build strong muscles which can help improve your balance, reduce fatigue, and make it easier to do daily activities. It can also help fight osteoporosis, a weakening of the bones that some cancer treatments can cause” (Cancer.Net)
This 12-week programme can usually cost up to £50 per session and it’s available free of charge at The Mulberry Centre for 6 months only, including:
- one-2-one pre-assessment and follow-up sessions
- 6 fortnightly small group sessions of muscular strength and balance exercises
- Equipment needed to practice at home
- Video and printed guides
- Access to table tennis sessions, yoga, pilates and tai-chi classes.
